Purpose/question: What makes a bigger eruption?
Researcatched youtube video, 124 grams of baking soda, 115.56 grams of vinegar (less used in video), was not a big explosion
Hypothesis: More vinegar is needed for a larger eruption.
Experiment: In cup A we used more baking soda and less vinegar. In cup B we used an equal amount of baking soda and vinegar. In cup C we used more vinegar and less baking soda.
Analysis: After we conducted the experiment we found cup A reachhed a height of 8 lines. In cup B we found that it reached 8 lines as well. Cup C reached the highest height with 15 lines which filled the whole cup!
Conclusion You need more vinegar than baking soda to get a bigger eruption.

My History Project
- Celts celebrated a festival called Samhain (pronounced “sah-win”), the end of the harvest (season) (Oct. 31st)
- October 31st was Celts new year and was the one day (or magical time) when ghosts walked the earth
- The Celts would make a big bonfire to make the ghosts go back to the spirit world
- Halloween came to America in the 1840's with the Irish (increase is Irish immigration because of the potato famine
- They shared bobbing for apples and playing tricks and shared that with America
- Tricks turned into vandalism. To stop the vandalism, children were encouraged to go to the neighbors front door and ask for candy instead.
- Masks were used to hide kid's faces for when they went to trick people
- It's different from the day of the dead- Halloween has candy and people are fearful of the dead. Day of Dead celebrates the dead and welcomes the dead back into their home.
